Yeah I have been thinking along the same lines. Reid and Tomkins now expected to play football and it might be revealing that Reid is more a Ryan Shawcross than Vincent Company .
I was hoping Poyet would get another run out . Although he struggled first 20 mins last Saturday, he started to improve even before Rooney's dismissal and will provide some bite and legs in a midfield that has lost its engine (Noble and Kouyate).

QPR have been awful in the few games I've watched but it wouldn't be a surprise for them to have their best game of the season and turn us over.
There is a real overconfidence I've seen on this site.
Our defense has not been good this season and perhaps shown up our lack of quality there when we play attacking football.
I think Reid in particular has been really overrated and is being shown up in this formation.

It always surprises me that so many of us are confident of a resounding victory because a team is near (or at) the foot of the table. I wish I could share the optimism but I can see this being a very hard game without Noble and Kouyate in the "engine room" of midfield especially if Song is on his own in there as Nolan will provide little defensively. Also Downing will likely be shifted out wide again (in other words, BFS to score a tactical own goal IMHO). They could end up dominating midfield possession and our front men (3 of them if Nolan plays as expected) will be starved of service.
A narrow victory at best for us but they are improving and I would not be surprised if we get beaten 0-1 either. Hope Im wrong but just trying to be objective / realistic :)
